
coderscollective.pz was started in Penzance, Cornwall, by Shaun Plumb in April 2004.
Shaun has gained extensive experience of PC application and website devleopment in nearly 20 years as a freelance developer. Having started developing DOS based systems using Paradox, he has continually worked with the latest proven technologies, gaining in-depth knowledge of tools such as Acrobat, Delphi and VB/C#.NET along the way.
Having started working with static HTML when the Web first arrived, Shaun's web development draws upon over 10 years of experience developing internet, extranet, and intranet sites. Having used various server-side technologies such as ASP, PHP and Java, in conjunction with client-side scripting, Shaun now concentrates on ASP.NET and PHP for web development incorporating technologies based on XML, CSS, Javascript and AJAX.
Shaun has worked on projects for all sizes and types of organisation, from local SMEs to government agencies and multinational corporations. Some examples of this diverse background include:
- Internal product distribution intranet for Microsoft.
- Financial Monitoring System for the UK Department of Health (NHS).
- Ticketing websites for The Eden Project.
- Intranet/internet development for Building and Property Group.
- Websites and other developments for local businesses.
- Development of the SimpleContent suite of content management tools.
